Projects that I completed during my time as a co-op at Siemens Energy cannot be dictated in detail due to concerns regarding intellectual property.
In general, I worked within the development group to assist senior development engineers with there projects, or to work directly with project engineers as the lead development engineer on certain projects. Beyond the projects I completed, I also worked with full time engineers to enhance professional development and communication. I spearheaded a weekly meeting to give co-ops the opportunity to receive feedback and collaborative development from co-ops and professionals on their projects. As well, this event served as a starting point that the professionals integrated into their schedule as well to help standardize department procedures and share learning opportunities. My individual experience with 3D printing allowed me to share skills with the group and shape how the group met specific challenges as we integrated additive manufacturing into final parts rather than just prototyping.
One project that I could discuss is the action I took to create a weekly meeting that produced great results for Co-op learning and development group collaboration.
